unscrew the nut on the bottom of the ap1 tip, pull it out, and slide in the ap2 lip then screw it back on.

and you can find ap2 tips from the marketplace for about $40-$60 depending on the condition

Heard wrong....hardtopguy is a great vendor, I (and many other long term members) have been using them for years.

Just a heads up GeniusTek, if you're putting AP2 tips on an OEM AP1 exhaust, they don't fit without modification. The AP1 tailpipe is too long so you'll have to cut off about 1.5" - 2" otherwise the AP2 tips will stick out too far. Also the set screw has to be swapped for a longer one. The AP2 tips are held in place with a mounting tab welded to the AP2 tailpipe to prevent rotation or loosening from vibration. The AP1 tailpipe lacks this so you need the longer set screw for a really tight fit.

I never said I was going to put them on a ap1 ever, I was asking if I could buy them cuz I wanna buy a muffler and put them on the muffler. I don't want some ugly looking tip on the car. I want it to look stock cuz it looks the best that way.
