Default pwjdm intake owners

just installed my pwjdm intake.. soo far its pretty darn cool. i drove it around and the CEL came on.. drove to destination, turned off car and started it later while leaving.. CEL was off. drove for a while came back on. anyone else having this problem? anyone have any idea what it could be?

doesnt feel or act like a vacum/intake leak. hoses are properly installed. nothing seems wierd elsewhere on the car.. no work on the car was done except intake install.

im just guessing that the car isnt used to it yet or something.
im out of ideas... ur turn.

Stop guessing and get a cheap cel reader.

It's either the map sensor or the intake air sensor.

Or it's just a coincidence when it happened and it's something else.

open kpro manager it will give you a list of all the codes that triggered the cel... go from there

I've had mine for several months now and never had a cel. Go to someplace like autozone and get the code and go from there. It might have nothing to do with the intake.

I installed the intake last month...

Are you sure the hoses are on correct?

I installed mine and have had no problems.

I have a Fujita CAI and had a CEL on the first day. I had radiator fluid that spilled under the hood, and I smelled it while driving. I cleaned up the O2 sensor and the bay, then I never had any problems.

Not exactly true. As I get a CEL after installing my KPro and it doesn't register in KPro, but it is a defunct CEL in my opinion. Has to do with the output shaft speed sensor and it triggers once the car comes to a complete stop after driving. It doesn't seem to effect anything and when the car is turned off it clears itself. This never happened prior to the KPro being installed and as I stated it doesn't show up in the list of error codes.

I've never experienced the CEL from the PJDM intake, but it most likely is something minor that you are overlooking in the engine bay, as mentioned the IAT sensor. Good luck and hopefully it is a bogus CEL like the one I am experiencing.
