Default Recommended mods for under $1000 (total)?

Hello:

I just got my S2000. I'm not one to spend thousands on mods, but I'd spend up to a total of $1,000. I know it's not a lot, but should be decent enough for a few good upgrades. I'm more interested in performance upgrades, but open to what others think as being worthwhile. What are your mod recommendations??

I purchased the BYS seat rails, borderline if I should count that as a mod...

Thx

It always depends on what ur plans for the car are...but just start off with the basic bolt-ons that most of us got at the beginning....CAI, springs, exhaust, TP, headers...maybe even some spray...but once again we dont know what your goals are... so idk...guudluck anyway

P.S. Searching is also a good option

First F1 is having a group buy on their exhaust/header/test pipe. I think the package is $800 shipped. I'd do that for sure, and then get a used k&n fipk intake.

Or front lip, springs, rear spoiler, if you're going for looks.

I wouldn't, there is no header other than the J's, Hytech, and Toda that are worth a damn and will put the OP over his budget from the get go.

I hate these threads, there are 10 a week, and the responses are all the same.

Lets go ahead and end the thread:

Intake:K&N FIPK ($250)

Catback: Something 70mm, I have Invidia and it cost $250 used. Love it

Testpipe: THE BEST BANG HP wise. $100, up to 5whp, 70mm

Money left over: Voodoo/Counter sunk knob

Maybe a set of springs or $$ towards a coilover set

4.77 gears are the best bang for the buck for s2000 or go force induced.

do research on gears.

maintenance. valve adjustment, fluid change (engine, tranny, diff, clutch, brake), etc..

otherwise, gears as the person above me stated.
