Default toda spec C cams dyno results

thought i share the results on my s2k with newly installed cams

background.

AP2 with a M&M stroker kit pushing 2350CC, J's header, exhaust and test pipe on a reflash, blue line is the dyno result on a s2k dyno day shootup 1 mth back.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&#entry16519092

Couple days after that, I spun a crank bearing while on track. Decided to put in my Spec C cams and valve springs since they had to replace the bearings.
Since the reflash ECU does not support the aftermarket cams, I decided to put in place a E- Manage Ultimate as a temporary solution under I make up my mind on a Motec M400 or Hondata ECU.

Just got my car back over the weekend and decided to run it on dyno to determine exactly how much difference the cams make. butt dyno certainly feels a difference but I want to nail down the exact figures.

The graph plotting my previous best run and today's shows something interesting. While the torque increase is huge, 22.6kg/m to 30.7kg/m, hp gain is only 7 more than my previous best run.

Just for reference, on the same dyno day a stock AP2 made 198whp. With torque at 19kg/m.

anyway here's the dyno graph!

I believed that is a derived rpm absed on engine speed. I wish I can say I made that sort of power on 6200 though. But it was at 8k.

Yoz bro...I think u need to ask Derrick about the torque figures, he might need to change the settings fer calculations. I dun think the car gained so much torque, it's quite impossible. Did he use wheel torque or flywheel torque today? The dyno day chart torque figures were reprocessed after we got the right settings from Mainline to get the correct accurate figures. 22.6kg/m was therefore wheel torque, after a TCF of 1.25 it will be 28.25kg/m flywheel torque. It's very likely that 30.7kg/m is flywheel torque. Still a very nice gain manz!!

The problem with the rpm display might have arised from plotting 2 graphs running in different gears, 1 in 3rd gear and 1 in 4th gear. Check it out with Derrick.

if the calculated engine speed is wrong then throw the torque numbers away. power will be correct, but the torque number is worthless.

What kind of reflash ECU are you using? And are you using the reflashed ECU with the Greddy EMU or are you using a stock ECU?

Yeah something is definitely not right with the torque figure, to gain almost 58lb-ft of torque from cams would be crazy. Would be wonderful if it was, but most likely as racingminds stated that the figure was not converted to wheel torque and left at flywheel on the graph. Converted down it would be a more realistic about 17lb-ft gain.

Sure the car feels nicer regardless of what the number is, a gain is a gain is a gain.
