Default Hood Prop Theory Tested.

just looking for a discussion, seeing as function over form seems to be the s2k way. am i right?

Mazda should be shot for that design. Intake on top of the freaking header???? WTF

At least they put a heat shield under it. And I don't see another place for it... Also it's usually good to have a couple feet of intake tube, not just a few inches off the TB.

So how do we do this to our hoods? DIY? I'd rather do this than mess with the hood cutting like I'd planned.

i just removed the weather strip under the hood at the fire wall. my hood is also vented.

you can just use several washers at the hinge and some longer screws.

The weather strip removal works pretty well for sure. I tested it out on my last long road trip with my Kpro logged. Nothing earth shattering either, but a good 10-15 degrees.

any downside to that? like don't leave the car out in the rain?
