Default Personal shoppers - Not a poll, give me your .02

If it was in your budget, would you ever use a personal shopper?

I don't think we have any around here, but if we did, and it was in the budget, I'd keep that person real busy. Things for the house, clothes, gifts, it would be great to have someone else do the running around.

Just did a bit of shopping. Found a few items, but would have liked to coordinate them with other pieces. I didn't see much and I don't have the patience to be out there looking. I need a dress for a wedding. I saw a few today, but none in short lady sizes. Another shopping trip will be required.

My sister and I often used to spend the day shopping. We'd have fun. We'd have lunch, sometimes we'd find things, sometimes not. Neither of us is into it anymore. The thrill of the hunt just isn't there.

I may have to find a personal shopper, or perhaps I can wear jeans to a wedding?

If I had the means of Warren Buffet, the answer would still be NO. My first job at age 13 was washing dishes at a pancake house for $.50/hour. That left a mark on me.

Oh man...I wanted to dance down the aisle.

I think grocery shopping on line (Peapod) would not be for me, unless you know exactly what you want, it could be time consuming. In the grocery store, you bring your list, and then buy everything on the list AND the Fritos on sale. Can't miss out on that.

Clothing is different. If women could go in the store and say, "I'd like a pair of pants in a size "X", and a size "X" was always a size "X" maybe shopping wouldn't be so annoying.

You guys don't know how lucky you have it. "Honey, please buy me a pair of jeans while you are out."

^^ Dayum...how long ago was that??

In 1963, I got my first job at age 16, and the minimum wage was $1.25/hr.
You're old.

1972 (I think) $1.85/hour working at the local hospital making beds, unoccupied beds.

Prior to that .50/hour babysitting.

If I was as rich as Warren Buffet, I'd hire my own full time personal shopper. I'd likely attend a lot of parties and need lots of fancy dresses. The shopper would be busy.
