Well today start the western adventure and return. Everything seems to be in place and ready to roll.

The basic itinerary is as follows:

06-13-2010 - I leave and go to Skywalk west end of Grand Canyon. Then returning to Williams AZ for my Rails to Rim Train ride and Grand Canyon Tour.

06-14/15-2010 - Take the train to south rim of the Grand Canyon, upon arrival a tour of the south rim, staying over night at the hotel, next morning a tour of the north rim, and return to Williams the evening of the 15th.

06-16-2010 - Driving to Scottsdale to visit Taliesen West, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. On to Heart Attack Grille in Chandler AZ for lunch/dinner, check out there web site. From there heading south to I-10.

06-17/21-2010 - While on I-10 east stopping at various cities along the way.

06-22-2010 - Back to work.

2010-0601 - The day started out just fine, left home about 0730a. I got to the rest stop just south of Jacksonville to realize that I forgot my camera and batteries. So turned around and returned home to get them. So back on the road to Atlanta. Original plan was to get to Atlanta before the evening rush hour, well that didn't happen. Will attach a photo.

The drive up was good, weather was good till I got between Macon and Atlanta and it rained on and off. Then once in Atlanta it was wild with all the traffic. Took my time and got to the hotel with no problems. Went to the Varsity Drive In for dinner. It was just a neat as was shown on the Travel Channel. They do move like lighting to fill the orders. Check out their web site; www.thevarsity.com I will attach a photo.

Till the next time, Vic

We were not impressed with the Varsity considering it does get lots of hype. Enjoy the rest of the trip!

Have a great time. Sounds like a wonderful trip. I didn't think the Heart Attack Grille was still in business.
