V1 is too sensitive for my daily drive. 9500ix has autolearn that will greatly reduce false alerts.

 

Very very true! On my last mile home it picks up 5+ alerts, i just turn it off at that point lol.

What does the concealed display do, turn the lights on the actual unit off?

 

i believe its the one you attach to the right off your steering wheel

 

It turns the light off of the main unit. You can set it up anywhere else you'd like. That's where I put mine. The sound comes from the main unit though.

 

$30 for updates. Great radar, I have 1 and love it

 

Great unit indeed. It saved me multiple times.

Does the 9500ix have good rear detection? I know it may not be as good as the V1 though.
