Don't even bother installing these coils. They're junk and much much worse than the OEM setup. If you got them to lower the car you should have gone with some springs instead, like Swift Spec-R. If you're dead set on coil overs you should save up a couple hundred bucks and buy the Fortune Auto 500s. Easily one of the best entry level coil overs available for our car.

With all the resources available here on S2Ki, Im kinda shocked that posts pop up like this still asking how to setup or install garbage ebay parts.

Have you had first hand experience on these coils? What makes you say that they are crap?

I havent had any experience from them but I bet you those are the basic run of the mill made in thailand coilovers that they sell on ebay that is "30way adjustable damping" or something of that sort. Stick with your stock setup, you will kill the handling of your s2k with those. Unless you plan on hardparking or slamming your car and could care less about performance then go right ahead.

They're the standard eBay special from Thailand or China. You really think random eBay coils are going to be able to improve over the engineering expertise of thousands of Honda engineers ?

You will kill the ride quality and handling of your car. If you have to lower the car buy springs to use with the OEM suspension. Swift Spec-R springs are made to specifically work together with the OEM dampers valving. They are some of the most expensive "lowering springs" you can buy for the S2000 and work very well for daily driving and casual lap days at the local track. If you want to get competitive, you better open your wallet up because good coils are the only way to go really. Not the generic trash on eBay.

Fortune 500s are a tried and proven entry level coil over. Do some reading on the forums before listening to "friends" recommendations. Anyone here who actually respects their s2000 will tell you to run away from crap parts.

Step one I would suggest is to educate your self. Hope this is a lesson learned for you. Please read the link provided in its entirety.

ok, that site is for crx. totally different from the s2000. you don't really have any first hand experience of it so please don't bash on what i decided to buy. if you have first hand experience, then go ahead and share your experience with them.

OP info is easily available just go to youtube and search how to adjust preload and height on coilovers. Is the height adjustment independent from preload? If it is it's a piece of cake. Although it is a concern if the coils didn't come with instructions. Good luck.
