Default Fortune Auto 510 ver. 3

I found a great deal on some fortune auto 510 version 3 coilovers. Retail is $1499 i found em for $980!! i know there is a new version (v 4) is that why these ver 3's are cheaper? they come with 9k fortune springs (no swift option). my car is 90% dd with 10% back road fun. Will these fortune auto 510s be right for me?? Are they hard to adjust ride height/stiffness?? keep in mind these will be my first coilovers.

You found them for $980 new? Yes, they are a great coilover and easy to adjust (of course, this is relative and opinionated). With those rates they would also be good for DD duty

That is because V4 is out. We sell the V4 for a little more than that. I would get the V4 over the V3 due to all the design improvements and its not that much more. PM for our price!

update*

decided on the fa 500 V4 due to the numerous upgrades and similar pricing, wont be doing many if any track days i think i can live w out the 510's larger piston and higher performance. 9k/9k becuse the car for now is strictly dd. Will post a small review just to add to the archives!

What spring rates do the 510 v4 come with? How about the buddy club racing spec? Mostly dd, but need some high end for slight auto x. Both digressive?

TougeS2k: A couple of months into their use, how have you found the 500 v4s? I'm curious because I am also considering them. Also, do you mind telling me what you ended up paying please (PM is okay if you prefer)

Thanks!

All Fortune Auto systems allow you to choose your own spring rates and allow you to upgrade to Swift springs. Your dampers are then valved for your spring rates that you choose. I think this adds an incredible value for your money. The "off the shelf" rates for the 510 V4 are 14kf/12kr.

Buddy Club does not let you choose your spring rates and the racing spec damper is 10kf/10kr, which in my opinion is a little soft for a "racing spec" system.
