autox and tein flex edfc...help!
ok so i ve been searching like crazy and cant find any info..found plenty of threads but no info in them...i have tein flex with edfc and i want to know what is a common setup for autox with these 13being softest and 0 stiffest i have 18x9 with a 225 tire square setup...to i want stiffer in front or stiffer in rear? let me know thanks
225 tyres all around are a pretty bad start for the performance driving.
on 9" they dhould be pretty stretched too.
normally you start from ~1/3 from the softest and fine tune depending on underster/oversteer you get.

Granted it was a heavier car (G35) but I've seen cars nearly roll the tire (making contact between the ground and edge of the wheel) with less stretch that that, so I would be careful.
That said, 225 is the standard rear tire width for an AP1, and the general consensus for a little while has been the more tire the better, so in theory 225 square might be a step up from standard AP1 sizes. If you only suspension mod is a set of coilovers, wouldn't you run the front a little stiffer to compensate for the oversteer a square setup can create?

apparently you have not researched enough if ur asking for damper setting and running 225s on 18's.
no one can tell you what to set ur dampers at you have to go by feel. i generally find that i run softer at autox events than i do on the street. < that information is irrelevant to you because u dont know how i like my car to feel and how i drive. suspension tuning is driver specific.

Since your on a square (and a very poorly configured) setup, you'll want just a touch of front bias, moreso if you're not running an upgraded front sway bar. I recommend selling the wheels if you can't fit larger tires.
im def getting wider tires i just need wider fenders or 17s..im not into the stretched tires but thats how i bought the car..so next mod is either wider fenders with wider tires or smaller rims and wide tires..also isnt it true that a square setup is better for tracking? im just coming from a wrx with built motor 30r and e85 but just trying to get used to the s2k...i bought it and only mods are tein flex edfc intake and berk high flow cat..i used to autox alot with my subaru but rwd is a whole nother animal

with similar to stock offset wheels you don't need wide fenders.
with a right wheel people go to 245 front and 255 rear with minor mods.
i think - if you auto-x a lot - do a good research and get best wheels for that.

Normal autocross setup is 255 all around on a 9" wheel. However you need high offset wheels to pull this off without fender work (+55-63). In order to lower the maximum the tabs on the inside of the fender should be bent up. Bending these tabs is legal in STR class which is a popular class for S2000s but actually pulling the fenders will bump you up to some pretty fast classes so be careful.
Theoretically if these dampers were made for an s2000 you should be right in the middle of the range all around and that should work at least decently. Try that first, or start with whatever settings work for you on the street if they're much different than that. Then try stiffening it all around by a few settings for a run and see how it feels, and vice versa. I wouldn't mess with biasing them one way or the other until you're at the fine tuning stage, although if you want to try it, go for it, see what works for you.
Usually most people would want it a little stiffer for racing than they'd want on the street, but as someone else said it's all personal preference so figure out what you (and the clock) like.
