I'm looking to get some good performing suspension for my S, and i only want to lower it 1" front and rear. Any recomendations for a setup that that will give me increased performance but still me a DD?

depends on your set-up and what you plan to do and of course budget. i mean i could suggest asm's $18k coilovers lol

anyways have you done any research?
my budget was around 1k and based on reviews i've read, my top choices were fortune auto 500 v3 or v4, bc racing br, koni yellow with gc sleeves, and blistein pss.
i've done my research for months before i finally purchased my coils. i decided on fortune auto 500 v4, based on the reviews i've read for the v3, it was all good things about them plus their an american company so if you have to get them rebuilt etc it won't take nearly as long for shipping and everything. the v4 pretty much just came out when i was ready to get coils so i got them.

i'm running 10k springs all around and it's awesome. don't know how much i lowered, i'm at a finger gap all around. wish i could've afford the swift spring upgrade

Full disclosure: Im a sponsor that sells these, but Ohlins DFVs are a great value. Still expensive at 3K, but truly compare to $4-5K dampers..

S2000 Review here.. Gernby sets personal records every time he goes out.

Your top choices are mine as well. Been doing alot of reading on these. I want something that rides good on nyc streets and that I can track. What would have been your second choice?

I'm going off topic here but I hear a lot of good things about the fortune 500. Problem is.. their logo is sooooooo cheesy I really feel like people are purchasing knock off suspension from a shady used car's sales men.

i have them

EDIT:
and you're really basing things off their logo?
i think amuse's logo is super tacky to the point i just really hate it lol
kw's color scheme makes their coils look cheap and crappy

i'm a design major though, can't help it when logos and color schemes look stupid
i know appearances are definitely huge on first impressions, especially with products (i would know, industrial design major)
but it's more important to do your research from others and how they perform to get real judgement. just my 2 cents
