Brake sqeals

I've noticed that my brakes will squeak when I am braking when backing up, but not when braking while rolling forward?
Any ideas ?

Pads are about done I'd bet. You're hitting the wear indicator in reverse due to the angle of the wear on the pads.

Pads could also be cracked.
