Default KW v3 suggestions

Heyhey everyone! Wanted to see if I could get anyone's personal advice on compression
and rebound settings.

I never got it to feel just rite, ride would be too rough or too soft. Getting coilovers back from kw soon, and would be nice to find a balanced and smooth setting.

(F) 17x9
(R) 17x10

225/255

Camber (f) -2 (r) -3

Want to run zero toe, am more comfortable with a loose rear rather than the car pushing.

Thanks for any advice!

from the master Billy Johnson himself (search him here on s2ki)

Compression F&R: 1-2 sweeps (from full stiff)
Rebound Front: 3-5 clicks (from full stiff)
Rebound Rear: 5-7 clicks (from full stiff)

This is what you want to run on the track, not on the street. lol. Just wanted to clarify before you came back pissed off that your fillings rattled out on the street.

^^ Lol

Have you tried Kw's suggested street settings? If so then that's basically your starting point.

Kw's suggested street settings...

Compression: 3 (1/4 turns) from full stiff all around

Rebound:
Front...9 clicks from full stiff
Rear....15 clicks from full stiff

Then Adjust accordingly little by little until the ride is to your preference.

i know what you're talking about.
KW v3 are not perfect as all internet feedback say.
that's why people try to fit stiffer springs to them.

what's worked for me is to set compression to 3 which is quite firm and keep rebound soft (8-10 range).

Hmm...I'll try that out and see how it feels. Currently have my rebound on a 6 and Compression on 3 (1/4 turns).

As a thought, I would run less rear camber(-2.5*) and a little rear toe(.25" total). That will give you more straight line stability than zero toe and give more predictable handling of the rear.

rebound on 6 clicks would very bad on a rough roads or bumps/dips.
probably good for smooth roads.

Oh it was awesome on smooth rodes. I'd drive in town and hate the ride. Then I'd go to the track and think its too soft...

I already feel an improvement switching to 8 from full stiff on the rebound.
