Clutch adjustment in Broward County
So I'm having the problem discussed in this thread, where the car is not shifting smoothly, especially in the low gears, and especially when cold. In fact, when I've just started it, and am idling with the car in gear, and the clutch all the way to the floor, if I release the brake, the car will start to roll forwards.
So I think probably the clutch needs adjusting so it will engage sooner and therefore more fully.
I take it to the dealer, and they tell me it's not possible to adjust the clutch on my car, and it would have to be replaced, if that's the problem. But they do a diagnostic and tell me the master and slave cylinders are leaking and need to be replaced. I ask if that should fix the problem, and they tell me that they won't know until it's done. The clutch might still have to be replaced.
Now unless I'm misreading something in the thread I posted above, then a clutch adjustment IS possible, and it's just against the dealer's policy to do it, and they didn't want to phrase it quite like that. I can understand that, if that's the case.
So where can I go for a second opinion, and where I can get my existing clutch adjusted as described, if that is indeed the problem?
