Default Price Update :Selling 4.77 Geared Differential

You Tube link to see performance gains with S2k with 4.77 gears vs stock.

Its the 2nd Race.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WLZpFWtI9Dk

Also Topic regarding different gears for the S2k in which in the quarter mile, the 4.77 would be faster.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=522272&st=0

Looking to go back to stock due to my job requiring a lot of highway driving. If anyone is interested, looking for $600 cash plus your stock diff for my 4.77 geared diff.

These gears have been on my car for around 15-20 thousand miles. Fluid was just changed 10k miles ago.

Also have the speedo calibrator which I can install for you if you like which would correct the rpm issue you are going to have after the gear swap. Cost $50

Also if you have never been in a car with 4.77, I can meet up with you to show you the overall change your car will have with them installed. Your low end torque problem would be gone.

Update:

To install the gears, I meet a fellow s2ki member which used to be a mechanic and charges 125 for the swap which takes around 2 hours.

The only extra thing you would need to complete this is since you have a stock diff, normally there are specific bolts on the shaft which break. There are 6 bolts in total. When I did my diff install, they recommended me purchasing arp bolts to replace the stock ones with since 3 out of the 6 on my stock setup broke.

What I would recommend is to have a local shop remove these 6 bolts, and replace them with the arp bolts (25 dollars for all 6)which can be taken off and on without striping the bolt.

arp bolt part number(673-1007 )

No shop should charge you more than 50-75 dollars for this.

So your total for the swap if you choose to use the mechanic would be around 675.

When you compare that to hardtop guy's deal, its pretty good since you need to consider taking off your diff your self or paying someone to do it which would in turn cost around 1200-1400 for his install.

Update: Dropping it down 50 dollars to help cover most of the cost incurred when changing the bolts out in the buyers car.

Thanks

Just to note, swap takes around 2-2 1/2 hours per car.
