Default Recommendations on a Valve Adjustment

Was checking if anyone has experience doing a valve adjustment on their cars. I saw a DIY here and it seemed to be pretty easy. I would just need to buy the tools to accomplish the task. Can anyone give me some feedback on this?

Also does anyone know of a mechanic that comes to the house for jobs like this? I have no problem removing the valve cover, just have never dealt with adjusting the valve clearance and would hate to screw something up on my new motor.

Thanks

Start with checking clearances first. On these cars it's very easy as everything is easily accessible. But if you haven't done it before I would probably find someone who did. Just because of the nature of this engine. You don't want to overtight it. And how much lash is enough lash is almost always a 'feel' thing. If you decide to do it yourself consider this tool. Very handy.
