too bad they didnt include an S2000..... then we could finally resolve the "how long from fuel light till empty" question.

...........although, Nimesh should know that one by now !!

^ that's a SUB compact and actually wouldn't make it as far since it only has a 40L tank.

WTF? How come I'm only getting 500km per tank on our EL? Pretty amazing stuff, thanks for the link. Can you imagine when they start using aluminum chassis in econoboxes? The MPG will go through the roof and gas will cost $4/Litre by then.

The Smart actually has a 27L tank and its best advertised mileage is 3.7L/100KM. Thus it's range is only just over 700 KMs. However, this would still beat the Civic's 4.9L/100KM.
True, it's not a SUB-compact, but the fuel economy still has a lot of people taking a real close look. And so far, diesel is still a bit cheaper than regular gasoline.

But I do agree that for a gasoline powered car, that Civic is very impressive and given the fact that it's a "real" car (as oppose to the Smart which is no more than a 4 wheel scooter) with some practicality, it's has a definate edge.
