Yup, those are base model 5th gen rims. Even though there 6.5 width a 225 tire still fits on it, even though there is no need to. Dammit so none of you guys seeling there rims. Common guys.

Sure bro. So I'm assuming your still using them for the season. Let me know when you wana get rid of them. Rims alone or with S2000 stock tires is cool with me. Don't need the snow tires though.

Just out of curiosity...
The S2000 stock rims are ok, I like them fine and have no real urge to change them out.
Why would anyone really want stock S2000 rims with the aftermarket so filled with other fine choices.
Like I said, just curious.

Well lets call it like it is.
1) I hope you guys don't expect to get the same price as aftermarket rims.
2) I view all my mods in performance terms only, or atleast first comes performance in my mind. So, my stockers are 19.2 lbs. Any of you guys that have knowledge on rims would know that going 17' or any size larger is going to reduce performance (acceleration) even if it's the same size total diameter and weight. For a larger size like in our case 17' to be benificial it's gotta be like 5 lbs lighter cause the moment arm radius is located further from the hub. So getting 5lbs lighter rims means big bucks. like 16 lbs I consider bad for our cars. I want good tyres too like T1S, SO3 or Paradas. Combined with a 17 lightweight rim your looking at crazy cash. So I'm better of with much cheaper S2000 and Good tyres for much less and better performance than my current settup. Front S2000 = 16.5 lbs, front Prelude = 19.2 lbs. I'll stomp on any lude with average aftermarket 17' rims and tyres, even with more mods than I have.
So there is some food for thought for you guys. On the down side I just discovered that the S2000 are no good for my ride. The Centre bores are different. Lude = 64, S2K = 70. It would fit but to dangerous. I don't want a rim falling of from the vibration of a non centre alligned rim.

HAH - i knew they wouldn't work.
ouzo,
seriously though, personally i have never seen anyone do it. though in one of your previous responses up top you mentioned it had been done - how?
anyways, good luck with scoping out some rims. at least you have a greater selection with the prelude than with an S2000
regards.

THey fit bro. Only that it would be a risk. It doesn't have to do with offset or bolt pattern. Were good there. Its the hub centre where the problem is. Too risky cause they don't make an adapter/spigot for OEM wheels. Aftermarkets are the same. Even larger than the S2k ones. However there rims accomodate various modells couse they have adjustable an adapter/spigot. Now If the S2K has tappered wheel nuts and sockets at the base of the rim they would fit. Do they guys? It's been done but I don't know what this guy did or if he's just risking it.
