Who is the best tuner around who works with (and knows extremly well) AEM EMS?

Devin, in Michigan.

He works for R&D at AEM. He also tunes pretty much all of the factory sponsored AEM race cars. He also runs a shop that specializes in tuned NSXs and S2000s. His own NSX is over 700HP.

There is also Chris Tapp from Tapp Auto www.tappauto.com that has tuned many, many AEM ems. He's located here in Ottawa, Ontario too! Although that gentleman from the US sounds like your best in terms of experience and first hand knowledge.

Michigan is a joke. Do you really have that much time to make adjustments? There has to be someone in Toronto. Did you ask on the CASC forums?

If you want him to come here to tune your car, you pay dyno and you have to cover his expenses and you have to pay him. Its not cheap.

I had three guys who were going to split him with me for high boost kits, and I think it was going to be in the range of $1k each all done (before parts), but that included about 4 hrs labour per car to install injectors and fuel pumps and stuff.

My car was dynod at TAG Racecraft in Oakville. THe owner is Mel and he claims to tune AEMs. I have no knowledge of whether or not he does a good job. I know he has a single turbo S2000 engine putting down over 700HP in his own car though (with AEM).

how experienced is Yoshio with tuning s2000's and working with AEM EMS? I have been to his unit before but never knew he was truly an experienced tuner.

I have set up my s2000 with much higher compression and some other modifications so its not really just a standard F20C tune and the likes of someone who knows what they are doing would be best. I can not afford that much free time to drive all the way out there just to tune. Peak numbers are really not what I am after rather a tune to the way I want (flat torque curve and smooth vtec engagement and power delivery in lue of peak hp numbers). But if the next best is in Ottawa, theoretically Michigan is closer so Might as well head down.
