I had full confidence in my kill switch, it was so well hidden that no typical thief would be able to spend the time to figure it out. They would need several hours and lots of portable lighting The only thing I ever feared was a tow truck theft.

I usually reverse park mine to a curb with the wheels tilted, not entirely sure if that helps.

They'll put your front wheels on dolley's so it won't do anything. Only chance is if you parked it somewhere that you can't get a tow truck into, like a corner in a low height underground parking lot. But if their intent is to steal your car and they are bringing a tow truck, there's not much that is going to help.

yeah today's modern tow trucks are beasts, they will lift the majority of the vehicle right off the ground in one move, put a dolley under part of the vehicle and then it is gone. Less than 2 minutes to get it up and gone, no stopping them other than clearance issues like Norm noted. Just have good insurance at that point as they can't be stopped.

It used to be that tow trucks were only in the hands of reputable towing assist companies in the past, now they are owned by some shady criminal organizations who are not in the business of helping out stranded drivers.
