I'm not sure if you can actually do it in a school but I know the 240SX guys actually rent out Shannonville specifically for drift practice.
I know it's early to think about this but just wanted to gauge interest. I'm really interested because not only does it look fun but I think it will give me more confidence in grip driving, knowing how to correct properly when I lose my backend.
Anyway, post if you have interest in doing this. Otherwise, I might just join the 240 guys if they'll let me.

Contact alberto@driftnation.com he's a friend of mine and he has been organizing a lot of skid pad days for people interested in drifting -- yeah mostly 240 guys, but there are also quite a few 86's that go too... no s2k's yet.
He's in the midst of setting up a bunch of these skid pad days for next year so give him a shout and he'll keep u posted.
As far as drifting in the S goes, it is kinda hard with the fact that you really need to keep the revs up high constantly to break traction from the car so there isn't that much room to play with in terms of controlling the exit of a drift using throttle control.

i dunno for me, it was really easy to break the car loose ... doing controlled doughnuts (around a small radius) was quite easy in this car... haven't tried to do a j-turn yet but i'll c.
i'll also need some cheap-o not so grippy tires for my rears if i'm gonna pursue this.... drifting is one expensive hobby!
