Matrix,
Don't know who bought it, but a bit off-topic. Did you purchase a black 02?? I heard from a sales rep that they discontinued black for 2002. I know its only a sales rep, but just wondering.

No problem, Simon2000. I actually had to read your initial response a couple of times before it donned on me that you were actually thinking that I wanted to buy that one. heehee

Yes, I did purcase a black. NEVER listen to a sales rep...all he/she had to do was look in the 02 brochure and there it is: black.

It was actually my choice, I decided that I did not want to drive it in the winter, so no point getting it now.
But it has been hard waiting...and it's only been a couple of weeks!

nope, wasn't me .. but there's still a black/red 2001 in St. Catherines ...
the dealer wasn't gonna budge from the '01 MSRP .. but they were going to give me a hardtop (installed) for FREE!
mindcore: you are right, the better deals are definitely out of town.
*sigh* too bad i had to pass it up because funding got a bit too tight
if anyone wants it, its still up for grabs....
the only flaws on that car is: 152 km, in showroom for X months, one scratch in the rear quarter panel and one ding on the passenger side front fender...
