Anyone in T.O. interested in a group buy for Spoon parts???

Fellow TO s2k owners, I've been in talks with a company out west in BC, AJ Racing. They are one of the major dealers for Spoon parts. The prices that Alan (I think he is one of the owners) was extremely competitive, especially since our dollar isn't worth Sh...t to the US. Anyway I'm planning to purchase some parts and I'm sure that if I can get more people in the buy he can go further down on the pricing. Anyway this is what I'm considering and if you need more info you can check out their website at aj-racing.com

AJ US avg pricing
4 piston calipers $2250/set $1350/set converting to CDN $2200
Front & rear pads $550 $475 converting to CDN $774.25
Carbon fiber air duct $655.2 don't know
Oil pan with baffles(trade in your $450 $375 converting to CDN $611.25
stock oil pan)
Slotted(I think) Ceramic rotors
(This is a maybe, it's pretty expensive)

Let me know if you are interested. I can delay my purchase a few months if you want to set up a group buy.

Cheers,

Sorry guys the pricing format didn't come out the way I planned, I've reformatted the details below

4 piston calipers are $2250CDN from AJ and approximately $1350 US is the price taken from one of the US outfits

Front and rear pads are $550 CDN from AJ and $475 US from one of the US outfits

Carbon fiber air duct is $655.20 from AJ. I don't have a price to compare from a US shop

Oil catch pan is $450 CDN from AJ and $375 from a US shop. Note that this is a trade in for your stock oil pan

Sorry for the confusion,

Cheers again,

I think for $550 I could hire a couple of midgets with asbestos gloves to stop me :)

I'd like an Xbrace, but the spoon has this rusting problem from everything I've seen.

I am Alan from A&J and I am writing to speak about this pricing.

I do remember giving the quotes but the prices are only for a one time buy including the Spoon rotors. The brake pads are the CC-X Endless pads. I do not sell anything piece by piece at those prices.

Here is the total purchase:

1 pr- Spoon calipers
Front and Rear Set Endless CC-X Brake pads
Front and Rear Set Spoon Cross Drilled Rotors
Spoon Carbon Air Duct
Spoon Oil Pan (core exchange).

The prices listed are if you buy all the above items at once.

Thank You,
Alan

Vince, be afraid, be very afraid. This forum has pissed off women and I've been blamed for pissing off the gay community. You'll have the wrath of the little people on ya (and I'm not talking leprechauns here).;)

Sorry guys, my mistake. I misunderstood that the price for the pads also included the cross drilled rotors. Thanks for the clarification Alan. I was beginning to think that there was something wrong with the price of the pads.

Hey Alan, while were on the subject, I am assuming that the cross drilled rotors aren't ceramic. How much more would it cost me if I wanted my front rotors converted to ceramic?
