anyone use the modifry DCI with aftermarket radio?

I was thinking of buying the footwell sub but it seemed pricey. I've also never bought a sub so I am clueless. How much is an enclosure and sub speaker? I know they can vary but is $600+ for sub and box middle of the road or what???

I went down a similar line of research a few months ago. And considered everything (footwell, wheel well, trunk well subs) and looked online to purchase it. Ultimately, I went to Ultra Auto Sound and they made me a custom trunkwell enclosure ($75-150 depending on how "nice" you want it), and I got a JL Audio 10" they had a sale for $300. Bass is great and punchy, and more than enough even with the top down and cruising.

figured out the tap n press feature to scroll through the preset stations with the dash CH button.
hooked up the SCV feature but haven't test driven the car yet.
Alpine HU and aftermarket speakers make HUGE difference especially with MY00 crap radio/speakers.
Can you elborate on these settings? I have an alpine H/U and I bought the DCI used so I want to make sure I set it right... thanks
When Modifry sends you the DCI with manufacturer specific HU settings, the Alpine unit's are:
dip switch, 1,2 > set to off
dip switch, 3,4 > set to on
My Alpine unit is the 9886 model.
To enable the factory S2000 dash CH button, radio station pre-set scroll feature, you need to change dip switch 1 to "on"
This new setting will also allow you to advance each track in CD mode by tapping the dash MODE button. Push and hold the MODE button to scroll through CD, USB, TUNER , etc.
"HINT"
If you are using in-line splicers, like I did, make sure you have some kind of continuity tester to make sure you have spliced into each wire correctly. When I first hooked everything up I had nothing working at all with the dash buttons. It was because one of the thin gauge wires didn't have any connectivety through the splicer.

Speed variable volume is a great feature to enable for the S2000. You can fine tune the rate of volume increase vs. speed. If your head unit has a beep feature for button actuation, be sure to turn the beep off or it would be irritating with speed variable volume changes - up and down.
