That is one ugly car...

 

I love it, but that side panel looks awful with most colour combinations

 

Is that Allan McNish in the second last picture?

i DO wonder about how reliable it will turn out to be, guess we'll see....should prove to be good. the crappy part is we have no autobahn and now can't even drive over 150km/h without getting assraped by the police (if u get caught that is lol )....so that sucks. (and sadly most of the buyers of that car will never take it to a circuit track )

 

Is there any functionality to that panel or is it only cosmetic? It only looks good in black because it matches the front grille.. otherwise not so good.

 

 

Yeah, he's here for ALMS. They are running the R8 as the pace car this weekend. I got a good look at the car from corner 4 today, I have to say it really doesn't look all that smashing from afar. It looks too much like the new TT. If you compare it to a Lambo Gallardo or a F430, it doesn't have that supercar wedge look until you get up close and see the details. Mind you it's probably a plus to not have to drive something that's 10 ft wide in the city.

Honda has no excuse anymore, they need to build another mid-engine NSX ASAP.
