Default Back from Daytona

Just got back from Daytona for the HSR/Grand Am races awesome place !! and a lot warmer than the Great White North. The racing was great and lots of cool cars ranging up to and including a McLaren F1 road car (the three seater coupe not the F1 car) 200+ down the front straight ! As part of the festivities they had an autoX which had several S2000's.

I saw a 2004 S2000 at the autoX and in my humble opinion no thanks the aluminum inserts look real tacky and the instrument panel looks cluttered.

Bob...did you get to ride in the McLaren??????

Okay, since we know which would be faster in the back straight...which was louder? My S2000 or the McLaren?

BTW, I agree about the aluminum inserts....not for me.

It would be close but inside the banks of Daytona the nod goes to the McLaren by a slim margin nothing sounds like a V12 BMW racing engine at full song. A friend of Joannes was doing some test work for the new owners as it had some suspension issues He described it as having 2000 lb springs in the front end and none in the rear very nervous but he still got it to 200+MPH down the front straight !!!

Too bad I did not know you were going, one of the race organizers is a close personal friend...she has worked with HSR for years.
