Car value. How do you feel about it?
Browsing through kijiji I saw this beautiful AP2. Rare GPW on red/black one owner car and super low km.

We all have noticed people asking more for S2000's the last couple years, particularly early model years. The first thing I thought about was the NSX and how expensive those are right now. I remember when you could get a NSX for $25,000 and now even the worst condition beat up NSX start at $40k with most being in the $50-$60k range.
Just wondering how everyone feels about this? I'm sure if you bought an NSX today for $60k or a stock AP1 for $25,000+ your insurance company would look at you like you were crazy. Is this just how the market is naturally going for these sought after Hondas, or are these prices artificially raised by hyped up sellers?
How do you feel about it?

I bought my unmolested 2006 GPW with 28,000 km in May of 2013 for $24000. The prices have definitely gone up since. That colour combo dictates the higher price, but 28,000 I think is a little too high still. I really wish NSX's were cheaper, because I would already own one if they were $25,000. I can dream though.

Well there will always be people going after the low mileage vehicles
The one you've listed is an AP2 afterall, so I'm sure an 04-05 diehard fan like Danio would take it?
But with more and more buyers pricing their cars in the 20s, this will certainly drive the prices of our cars higher (which isn't too bad of a thing right?)

Last year before I bought my S I had a shot at buying a 92 NSX with 30k on it... The price wasn't much more than my S but I hesitated because the NSX was Automatic.
I still think about that NSX... coulda shoulda woulda.

Auto nsx would be a boring piece of shiny pricey metal

I don't mind S2000s jumping up a bit. It is getting more difficult to find an excellent one. It's just awkward to see the prices so scattered, and to be so far of the insurable value. I guess we need to have the cars appraised.

I had a NSX the first year, red manual and a black automatic in 2013. I like my S2000 much better. The Honda is much better for Car Lapping, in the NSX my helmet was wedged into the headliner. I wouldn't get another NSX again, even at $30,000.

I have heard this before too, or something similar. When I asked people who have owned both which they liked more, they didn't clearly say NSX. It was either I can take one or the other or that they were equally good just different. Makes you wonder what you are paying for with the NSX. And for gods sake, don't crash it. The body is supposed to be very hard to fix.
