That car sounds pretty mean, almost thought it was a muscle car of some sorts,

I just picked, clicked, and downloaded to youtube so there's no fancy editing. But here are 2 of my videos from the picton event giving a similar view to curt's. Look for differences and find the 4 seconds difference between our runs- mine being slower...and on older rx-3's- racing excuses...This analysis would of course be better on the day of and we'll figure that out at some point. Also, don't hit cones, which video 1 shows nicely.

Why do you mount the camera on the right? Is it to better calibrate with your judgment of distance on that side (compared to your left, which is naturally easier)?

You killed some major cones on the second run, lol.

Are you allowed to use a vtec controller without penalty ? I think a vtec controller would be nice on this setup, it would be a much smoother vtec engagement and nicer to have it kick in at a lower rpm point too. Easy to install with a plug and play harness, one for sale on the forums right now.

I only mount the camera around the car in places I think the views will be cooler and more interesting. There is really no other reason. On course, its all about knowing where your wheels are (Reference CWD) and to look where you want to do while on course.

Our next event is the provincial hosted by WOSCA - curt's and mine's home club. We'll be in Sarnia at Hiawatha.
