Always check compression/leakdown yourself and don't take what someone else does as gospel.

You should be doing compression and leakdown every couple years or after 30,000km let's say, it's a indication on whats going on with your motor (using the same gauges would be ideal, so you can see differences).

Check the valve lash and see if they need adjustment.

Redline stuff is good! just be careful on how much you use and do the calculations, caution on the less side, too much is not a good thing either.

Let us know the compression/leakdown and valve lash numbers

1 Bottle for rapid clean up. 1/3 oz to 1/6 oz per gallon on subsequent fill ups.

I like to go slow when it comes to adding chemicals to my car.

So 1 bottle = 15 oz. Therefore, 1 bottle is meant for 45 gallons. S2000 takes 13.2 I believe.

I understand they want to concentrate it on the first shot. But I'm just trying to put it in perspective.

Agree for that. Adding too much fuel cleaner could cause engine misfire I believe. I'll see how it goes after several hundred KMs driving.

Do the compression and leakdown regardless, it may shed some light quickly and it's always good to know

Today I did a compression test and turned out to be cylinder 1 only had 110 psi while all other cylinders had 220+ psi. Obviously something wrong with cylinder 1.

Since I don't have the tool to do a leak down test so I may stop from here. What is the best / worst case? Can a cracked retainer cause this? Will a valve adjustment help? I know I am guessing too much but a leak down test will tell.

Any one can recommend a shop in west of GTA I will be much appreciated!

Refresh the head. This is common for your mileage.

Cyl 1 sees more heat on the exhaust valves.

Check the valves cold
Check compression hot
How does the car drive all things aside?

Compression hot/cold doesn't really matter. You're looking for a delta between cylinders.

110 to 220 is a huge delta though. Could be a combo of valve seat possibly some scoring.

Personally I like to check it hot since we are concerned with running parameters and what state will most likely show an error , to each his own

With that big of a delta I'd say scoring is likely unless a valve is bent. I have a leak down tester but I'm kinda out of the way. Any shop should be able to do this.
