comments from a porsche driver
Just wanted to let all you s2000 fanatics know that I rented one on a recent trip to Las Vegas and it was the most fun I've had in a car in a long time. If I wasn't already driving a '95 911 I would be ordering a 2002 model immediately. I had driven with a friend in his 2000 version but he has never taken the car over 5000 rpm. What a waste. Just like driving an Accord with handling. Great interior and very comfortable. The look is just aggressive enough imho.
Waiting for spring... |
Thanks for the honest, objective comments!! :)

I've said, since the first day of owning the car, that I would only trade the car in for a Ferrari 355. Anything else, no. (and I don't want to hear any "You could see such and such car and buy 2 S2000"). The point is, I do not feel there is a better car out there and although I would never pay retail for a Ferrari, it would take a straight swap on a 355 for me to give it up. (The Z06 is a damned nice car, but they're big, use up tires, gas and don't come as a convertible)
That said, I'm considering selling the Stook for something that isn't a replacement. :) |

A big hunk of plastic that goes very fast in a straight line. It got around the corners fast enough but I never felt like I was in control. The s2000 felt like a fine surgical instrument and much more enjoyable to drive. You would tire of the 355...imho |
what are you thinking of getting?
