CTMP Advanced Driving School (May 31-Jun 1) - Sharing accomodations?
Just wondered if anyone was planning on attending the race course at CTMP (through BMW Trillium) on the May 31-Jun 1 weekend?
I've already booked an Airbnb for the Friday and Saturday night so as to avoid the long drive back and forth from the city. The place is in Port Perry and it's about 20 mins from mosport (according to Google Maps). Apparently there's a gated parking area +/- covering as needed, so it should be secure. Would be happy to have some roommates if anyone was heading out there that weekend. Drop me a PM if any of y'all are interested.

Hi there, please note that Port Hope is much longer than 20mins from CTMP (Mosport). It takes about 30mins to drive up there from 401 and Waverley Rd exit.
I would recommend a place closer. There are B+B very close to the track (check on CTMP website) as well hotels in Bowmanville.
if you are on the budget, but are looking for a (very) clean place, a San Man Motel in Port Perry is good (I stay there regularly). About $85 plus tax and about 20-25min drive. It is basic, no lux, but clean and friendly. next door to a local chicken and rib place plus other choices in town 5 min drive away.
Hope it helps.

Just a word of clarification: this event is Drivers Education, or as we call it Advanced Driving School. We held a proper Race School back in April. That school was only for top level students wishing to apply for a race license.
Our events are well described at www.soBMW.ca under "schools" tab. BTW the May event is now completely sold out with a waiting list for all levels. Cheers!
