Event: Detroit Auto Show trip
If you haven't been, you owe it to yourself to go. It is simply awesome, and blows the Toronto show into the weeds!
I'd like to get a group together and go down to see it this year. We could rent an SUV or van to haul everyone down there for not much money.
The best days to go are the weekdays, when it is only moderately crowded. Unfortunately, the weekends are absolutely packed ass, and it is really hard to see anything.
Any interest? I believe it is from Jan 9-16 or around that time frame.

Out of curiousity, whats the biggest difference between the Detroit and Toronto shows? I mean to be honest, i find myself quite bored at the Toronto show after the first 15 minutes. All the nice cars worth looking at are locked up and you can't test drive them. And i consider myself a car guy.

Detroit is the biggest car show in North America. All the new releases debut at Detroit, and this year will be no exception. The show is about 4 times the size of the Toronto show, and the displays alone are worth the trip.
