Interesting from a honda stand point. But its going to be so exotic in canada. If you didn't put a deposit and your dealer isn't good enough you are not getting one this year. 0 were allocated for ottawa.... Also its hard to service. Apparently dealers cant service it and a special team from markham is the only team in canada to do it. I'm hoping it's like a mini P1 or 918.

Personally I rather get a GT4 Cayman
In Canada it will be almost half the price and it's a SAVAGE

Newest pricing in the U.S. is approaching $170,000 US, can't imagine the Canadian pricing, but well north of $200,000 IMO.

I don't disagree. It's priced way out of the market.

As much as I like the Cayman GT4, I think I'd go for the Boxster Spyder so I could drive top down.

amusingly when I was getting my oil changed at the Honda dealer a few weeks ago my service adviser told me 'have you heard about the new NSX' and i said something along the lines of it's price and he was shocked -- he thought it would be $50k

it's a neat car -- but not $200k cnd neat

R8 >

I think you guys are under estimating its performance. Although the numbers only push it past an R8 just a bit the hybrid ness of it should help. Kind of heavy at 3800 lbs. But maybe its the discount P1 or 918. Its probably what the GTR will head to in the future. AWD hybrid.

Yeah, I'm surprised how heavy it is for a 2-seater.

It'll be interesting to see who ends up purchasing it. If it's just an "garden variety super car", it'll probably be out of most people's budget and there are LOTS of options.

If the performance comes close to a P1 or 918, you're gonna get the small slice of the general public who would even appreciate it. Either way, it's hard to see it having higher sales than the original NSX.

At the degree that this car is being built I don't think its a question of value or even a comparison of other similar vehicles. They are coming out with something rare enough and low enough in production that people will pay whatever sticker price they put on it, just to be said that they are one of the few with the car. It reminds me of the LFA, way higher priced than comparable models, but people still paid the sticker price.

Personally I feel that when a company makes a car like this its to showcase what they can do and to say that they can still compete with the other big boys. Which means it makes no sense for Honda to do something like this b/c they clearly left the world of sports cars a long time ago.
