First timer in Toronto, where to go/eat?
Hi,
I'll be driving my S2000 to toronto this wknd, staying at intercontinental on First street. I'd love to hear from the locals on can't miss places to visit & eat. I hear there's a large Asian population there, what are the best korean/japanese/chinese restaurants? I like cantonese style seafood dishes! yum What foods is Toronto most famous for?
For sightseeing, I'm thinking about going to that CN Tower, and just cruising around harborfront & city.
I'll be taking my Garmin Nuvi so getting around won't be a problem.
Also, do most places accept USD? or do i need to get some CAD.. ?
thanks!

how old are you and what do you like to do?
korea town is on Bloor, west of Bathurst.
lots of chinese food on spadina, although quality varies. good cantonese seafood place on Baldwin, which also is a nice street full of quaint restaurants.
activities and tourist sights will depend on what you want to do.
other famous foods will depend on your style and budget. Although i would definitely sample the local street sausage myself.

My god, offer the man some non-asian options too!
Though I do agree that the mixed far-eastern cuisine was my favorite in Toronto
In terms of activities, the suggestions are going to vary pretty drastically depending on your age and interests. Great night life, lots to do and see while the sun is up as well.
