HARDTOP has arrived......
hah.
just got the call...hardtop is in!
this time i'm REALLY excited. last time i never had the car lowered or had 18's on - i'm dying to see how it looks NOW with all the goodies on.
called a couple of buddies over tonight to help me dislodge the car from the snow - gonna drop the car off tonight at richmond hill honda as i don't have time to take it over tomorrow morning - getting the h/t polished as well.
someone, PLEASE come over with a digicam over the weekend!!!
i'm happy as a pig-in-shit

oh sorry....
wax/polish - you know what i mean.
dropped the car off at 6:00 today - used the tow hook for the first time - towed it with the audi.
had the whole dealership ogling over the hardtop - and my car. did i ever tell you HOWWW nice the S looks lowered with 18" wheels
anywho, i think the service guys were willing to roll up their sleeves right then and there to have the thing put on - but alas, it was quitin' time for them. they said they couldn't wait to get working on it in the morning. turns out richmond hill honda has never delivered (spa) or retro installed a hardtop before.
i did request that they "wax/plexus" the inside of the rear window and make sure it doesn't crease when they lower the top.
i predict that tomorrow will be a beautiful day!

Maybe not knowing what I'm missing has something to do with it. But I think its more mental then anything, in regards to warmth. When I had the heater on, half way was too much on the coldest day.

mike, it's personal preference...
i personally think it changes the total look of the car - if you saw it for the first time with a hardtop, you would think it was a TRUE coupe - it's done so nicely.
then there's the practical reasons - quieter, warmer, bigger rear window (no more blind spots) etc.
vince, jump in any time if i've missed something.

You don't have to gang up on me I believe you. I'm just saying, for me, for the cost, I wouldn't get enough use out of it.
It does look sweet though!
