Default Help choosing colour!

Hi all,

My first post, so be nice

I am in the market for an S2000, and have an issue. I think I love the Suzuka blue on blue from all the pictures I have seen, but there are none available for sale in the GTA (or Ontario/Quebec). I am willing to purchase the car from the US and import it, which of course is a large endeavour. Before I go that route, though, is there anyone in the GTA that has a Suzuka blue with blue interior that I can come and just have a look at? It would be massively silly to arrange buying one in the States -- or pass up on other colours in Canada while waiting for a Suzuka to become available -- only to finally see one in person and find out I don't like it.

If anyone in the Greater Toronto Area is willing to show me their blue/blue S2000, I would greatly appreciate it!

exterioir suzuka blue is a nice colour, interior blue is a bit too much blue. The blue plastics are a bit radioactive, I always refer to it as smurf blue. I like the seats and carpets in bluie, I dislike most of the plastics, the console cover, and dashboard in blue. If I'm not mistaken there were some ap2 suzukas in the US that had black and blue interiors, a mix of some black and some blue parts. On my ap1 I converted my all black interior to black and blue which I really liked, but all blue is a bit too much.

Hopefully you can have a good look at one up close to help make your decision.

my 2006 Suzuka is originally US car. Beautiful blue exterior, seats, carpet- the rest is black. Its the right balance...but, that being said, I'd not kick a 2003 Suzuka blue on blue out of bed.

I really like Suzuka- as in its my favourite colour on the S- little feminine perhaps, but black rims man it up!

Make a priority list. If color is paramount put it first. A priority list will create a short list of cars to look for.

For me color wasn't even on the priority list. Too many essential things ranked well above choosing a color. I knew I wanted more power than stock and that the 2006 and later cars could be more easily timed for more midrange power by lowering VTEC engagement and setting the fuel tables. DBW (2006 and later) headed my priority list closely followed by the usual low mileage, no accidents, all 10 VIN tags, etc. DBW also has traction and stability control both of which can be switched off for non-nanny but higher risk driving.

Took a few months but I I found everything on my list and since color wasn't on it my car is Silverstone. I think roughly half the S2000s are some shade of silver. No regrets on the color as it stays clean longer.

I never met a S2000 that I didn't like, I would buy one in any OEM colour as long as it was in good condition. My fav colour is NFR (red). though.

haha zeroptzero yes, radioactive blue is my concern. I hate boring colours though -- my DD has a bright white interior and I absolutely love it.

Thanks for the help thus far, everyone. Would still appreciate a viewing from anyone in the area!

I love the interior suzuka blue colour, it is a nice blue, but there is just lots of it as they made too many parts the same colour. I added suzuka blue parts to my black interior as I love the colour, but I like it offset with some black. Hope you can check one out in person.

I'm sorry I can't be of help but I had a 2005 Suzuka with the blue interior and I loved it! I sold it when I bought a used 2007 Laguna Blue with the black interior. I still miss the blue interior although I like the Laguna blue exterior better than the Suzuka blue. I also had a 2001 Silverstone which is a great silver. I still have my 2007 Laguna blue S2000 and a 205 Long beach Blue Pearl NSX, along with a 2015 blue Honda Crosstour and a 2017 blue Pilot. You could say I love blue.

This may be more photos than you need but what the heck.

I don't have Suzuka blue s2000. However it is also one of my favourite colours for the car. The only thing that would keep me from buying as Suzuka IS the blue interior. There are too many materials (Carpet, leather, plastic, vinyl etc) to get all the blues to match in hue. It just looks patchy to me and I can only imagine it will get worse with age.

That being said, like many above have mentioned, colour has never my first priority. Condition of the car is what I care about. I'd sooner jump on a MINT Sebring silver example than wait for a questionable Imola orange or Moonrock example. The S2K looks good in every colour

I like the Suzuka Blue exterior, but I dislike the blue interior. That is going to be for you to decide. Pictures should really be enough as I don't think seeing it in person will give you a far better appreciation. You kind of either like the all blue or you don't. It is kind of a vibrant blue, too bright for an interior colour if you ask me.

Suzuka Blue with light gold wheels looks so good in my opinion.
