Help with Strange Sounds.
I'm getting a clicking sound from my rear left wheel. it comes only when i make a right turn. the speed of the clicking sound is proportional to the speed i'm going. so the faster i turn the faster the clicking sound comes. does anyone know what this is? i took it to my mechanic and when he took it for a ride, the sound stopped.

Could be the brakes. if the pad isnt in the caliper properly you might get a sound like that. also could be the shims.
Does it happen more after the car has been driven for a while? So the brakes are warm or hot?
When you looked at the tire for nails. did you take the tire off or just do a visual inspection of the tread? Could be a sneaky nail on the inner sidewall.

A constant clicking could be a bad bearing.
If you're certain there is nothing in the tire (nail/screw/rock in the tread) then it is most likely the bearing.
Honda increased the torque rating for the axle nuts from 180 to 250ft-lbs to prevent the issue.
You may have been hearing a click sound when changing directions (i.e. backing out of the drive way then taking off in 1st). If you let that worsen it will eventually kill your bearing.
Lots have had to replace bearings at aprox 80K km. It was quite common actually. This was due to the improper torque rating for the axle nuts (Ian's fault).
I have 140K km on mine now with original bearings. Knock on wood they're still ok.
