Fred,
Good luck to you.
And always remember, the drives we go on, are not for seeking our car's "limits"
if you wanted that, take it to track and keep it there
remember that with whomever car club you decide to drive with again

i'm with simon.
the last thing you need is a sermon, but we were ALL like what the hell was he thinking - obviously we didn't say anything to you at the time as you had just crashed your car and were already depressed.
glad you're ok.

Great choice with the new ride Fred. (I think there are a high percentage of ex Integra owners in the forum - myself included)
I concur with Marco, lets see you out at some AutoXs and dont give up on the Saab school. They'll all help in the future.

Thanks for the replies guys and the support. I really appreciate it. It was tough to cope with the incident for a while when you realize that a slight change in mindset would have prevented such a disaster. I'm 100% honest when I say this but there's no better way to put an early end to my s2k days on the Salamander. It was the best time I've had in my s2k (even more so than autox or saab school) as the feeling of driving through open country road with others who love driving as much as you do in a great machine like the S is simply amazing. A natural high.
I'm definitely not going to give up the autox's and Saab schools because being near the bottom of the time ranking just doesn't cut it for me. After all, 15" rubber is cheaper too
The ITR I got is white and the insurance is actually a few hundred bucks more than the S per year. I just couldn't find a car I that I *really* wanted that wasn't an S except the ITR. Guess I'm a sucker for high-revving lightweights.
