He is legit. He drives the Velocity Motorsports Club touring car Si. The team is made up of employees and is all volunteer.
I work there as well. I work in the engine plant final repair. This is the Associate appreciation BBQ they do every year for all employees. Managers do the cooking
So yeah it's a weekday and takes place between shifts.
We have had NSX clubs in the past as well as other enthusiast clubs. Honda usually brings out some new cars, bikes, etc for display as well.

Yes, this is for the Associate BBQ. Last year there was an Open House that was on a weekend also.
Previous years we had the NSX guys, I though we should mix it up and bring in S2000's
I am working on getting a plant tour for those that attend.

I have arranged a plant tour of the the Civic factory where we build Sedan, Coupe and SI, prior to the start of the event.
So far I have seven S2000 owners interested. we are looking for lots more.
