importing
I am sure this topic has been beaten to death, but I live in New Brunswick and I am looking to import a s2000 from the US, it is my understanding that there is a additional 6% import tax on top of the 13% NB sales tax plus a few other fees. is this correct? I was also looking at a corvette but there doesn't seem to be the additional tax because it is a domestic. I test drove both cars and to my surprise I was a very impressed with the s2000, it reminded me of the MR2 I had in the late 80s. The corvettes torque was great, but the interior seemed as cheap as a cobalt.

Yep, you are correct. after searching the forum you should be able to find all the additional info you are looking for.
The import tax or "duty" only applies to vehichles not made in North America.

The S was made in Japan, I am pretty sure you have to pay duty bringing it over.
