Hey guys, this is my 2nd year owning a S2000 and i'm wondering do you guys have to do safety every season when you bring out your car from storage?

I always go April 1st to October 31st. In the end it usually saves me about 400$ a year. Don't know how old anyone is here, but it makes a huge difference being over 25.

When I hit 25, my insurance premium dropped by.. $100 annually..
Clean history, no tickets too..
Better than nothing I suppose?

The 25 years old thing depends on the insurance company
Not all companies apply the same actuarial brackets

Even though it only dropped by $100 annually, it was still the best premium out of many others

Safety only when you buy/sell

E-test every couple of years or every year depending on the age. You'll get a notification / letter from service ontario whenever you need it to get your new sticker

I called insurance today taking my car out this weekend and they want me to do a safety check due to the age of the car, seems strange so i just ask anybody here is the same

My insurance wanted a vehicle condition report because of the age. I was switching to that insurance company so I needed safety and emissions test also

I just changed insurance companies when I got my new S. Didn't ask me a thing :shrug:

Then again I guess I did a safety when I purchased it

When I was with Meloche Monnex, they required a facility to do an inspection on all my cars
But it's only a one time thing.

Did you recently change insurance companies? If you're with a broker, then you might have to ask your broker

Do you guys declare your aftermarket parts?
