valve check, carfax, go over it with a fine tooth comb, and hope it hasn't been winter driven.

15K? decent price i suppose for mileage and year. i still prefer the '02-'03.

Like Darcy said have a ppi done by a reputable shop. Its a good price but be ready to spend a bit of cash on things it might need. Buddy of mine bought one for $14 000 same year and mileage and had to spend $1500 on a few items that needed attention.

I bought a MY03 in 2014 for about that price with 100,000KMS but was a multiple owner car with a clean history, love how the value is still climbing!

I looked at a MY00 in the summer of 2015 with the original owner that had 55,000KMS and was priced at about $17.5K, maybe should have but I wanted a newer version with DBW.

That is a market value price if the car is fairly clean.

Exhaust placement in the second picture looks suspiciously odd.

Looked at this one in person...

- Car has been with these guys for the past 1/2 year.
- Has 1 or 2 claims on carproof.
- Front bumper was replaced and rear bumper was repainted
- Clutch is almost done
- VTEC solenoid leak
- Underneath is pretty clean, does not suggest frequent use (if any) during winter
- I believe the left quarter panel had been worked on. Doesn't feel original metal to me
- The condition of the engine suggests higher mileage than actual. During the time they have it I don't think they've maintained it.

I would pass based off what LangJai posted above.
My car personally has a claim and it really depends on the extent of the claims.

For example, my car was hit in a parking lot and the owner (car was a year old only) claimed it through insurance but the panel is still OEM and has the matching VIN since it was a small dent.
If there is a claim and a panel is replaced, that leads to a lot of unanswered questions...

Great info for someone if they come across this and are considering that car, thanks for posting that. I figured any S sitting around on a lot probably has something wrong otherwise they go pretty quick. I bought my 2000, 2 owner (old guys) with 90,000 km for $12,700 2 years ago. It was pretty clean, but not all original paint. Pretty happy with that price in retrospect.
