Default looking to get a kia scrapped

sorry if this isn't allowed here, but I have a 2006 kia sportage I rolled in the summer. I paid a dollar for it and put another 900 into it to get it road worthy.
I drove it with a bent end link until the tire was almost bald, but now that summer's out I'm gonna be bringing my s2000 out so I have no need for it anymore.
It's got 170,000 km's on it and is actually in pretty good condition. One previous owner, full service history, I just can't afford to fix it, and to me it's just not worth fixing. Dented body panels, front of the roof and a cracked windshield are pretty much the worst of it.

Anyone know where I can sell it to a scrap yard or something? I don't want it crushed because it still 100% works, and I'd rather people just pick parts from it. Everyone's just offered me 200$ so far and I was kinda hoping to get more for it than that, especially because it still has a hitch on it that I got from uhaul.

again, sorry if it's the wrong place, just not sure how I can get the most money for this thing without just scrapping a perfectly working (albeit needs a little work) car.

Cars are worth about $200 for scrap irrespective of condition and someone will come and tow it away for you. So if you have the time and energy you can pull the easy stuff to sell like the hitch but with messed up body panels there probably isn't much value in it. Battery scrapping places will give you a couple of bucks for the lead. But I think you'll have a hard time getting to even $500.

This government program will pick it up and give you cash. FAQ « Retire Your Ride

I hear you always get $300 or more and you get to accept or decline the offer.

go pound on it off road…its an "offroader" after all.

That being said, a wrecking yard will likely part it out and recycle parts etc…then the already dented body will get crushed and turned into another car…reduce, reuse, recycle and reincarnate.

lol im in the exact same situation with a 2007 mazda6, with 305000km

Feel bad scrapping it because it runs, but the tranny has an issue now which I dont feel like spending money on.

So far highest offer has been $300 from a scrapper.
