Mosport Big-Track School & Challenge Weekend $395
Registration Form and Flyer
Hey guys, here's a chance to get on the big track for cheap!
The event is run as a day and a half school with classroom and on-track instruction. Entry is capped pretty low so there should be sick amounts of track time available. The second half of sunday will be timed laps (a la Solo 1).
All for only $395.
I'll be there as an instructor.. probably in my Civic.
One thing (and I'm awaiting an official word on this since this event isn't technically a Solo 1 Event)... but unless you have an auxillary roll bar or cage, you probably can't participate in an S2000. I'm hoping people with hard tops and the stock hoops in place can since it's a bit of a grey area in our rule book.
I will get back to you later in the day when I get my response.
BTW, there's only 10 spots left...

Crap, this weekend? I still don't have my car fixed, and for some reason I think I'm supposed to be somewhere.
Let us know about the roll bar situation.

Yeah but this isn't SCCA. Different comittee, different insurance. :/
The rollhoop/hardtop issue went back and forth in email a number of times, I still don't have a clear answer, so I guess at this time I'd have to say no S2K's without 2" over drivers helmeted head rear roll protection.
I know SAAB lets you guys run and a lot of other groups here would too but we're just a little too saftely concious to "hope for the best".
Suckage... I'll let you know if something is decided otherwise but obviously we're running out of days.

Maybe i'll have to keep my eyes open for a HT next year so i can run Solo 1.
It might be worth it and a good opportunity to run at the DDT again.
