They have bike track days quite often, wonder why car groups don't rent the big track?

If I am not mistaken, a certain group (I shall not name them) floods the DDT with event bookings and pretty much muscles out the competition.

After having been to 2 of those events, I refuse to go again. I left 1 hour into my 2nd event with them - they have zero regard for maintaining safety and from what I hear they do NOT have insurance either.

For the big track, I have no clue.

What are both your setups ?
I'm stock running on Michelin Pilot Super Sports 215/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear. Carbotech XP10s all around.

I believe LDubz has a tune, KW v3 coilovers, Hankook Ventus RS3 225/45/17 front and 255/45/17 rear. DTC60 pads all around if I am correct.
Cheers. I'm running hp+ and need input on what pad to try next when wear.I don't feel I am out driving the pad yet but willing to sacrifice nvh for a better pad

What is your primary function for the car? My car was strictly autoX and track days. I used to drive around when the weather was good but the XP10s are loud if you wear off the transfer layer and it was getting old. The XP10s have yet to fade on me and the dust that comes off of it is VERY easy to clean even a few days afterwards. If you are lazy and don't want to bother cleaning your wheels, the XP10s offer good dusting factor with stopping power, durability and heat capacity. My only complaint is that initial bite isn't as strong which can lead to modulation issues. I didn't find this at first but as I got better at pushing the car to the limits, I found that the modulation isn't quite as linear as I'd like it to be.

I'm going to be trying out the Project Mu Club Racer RC09s next.

Well the car is used to get to work, etc. definitely not a track only car. Do you guys swap pads before an event? I would really like to avoid this. Is the dtc60 streetable?

There are PLENTY of car groups that rent out the big track, some cheaper than others. JRP last I checked does the big track $300 for the day, well worth it. Most the clubs that rent the big track ask for anywhere from $500 to $800 for the day. They tend to include lunch.

I would never recommend Carbotech anything... I had the Carbotech XP10 on my car back in the day, not much bite, and I wore them away quickly, as if they weren't even there to begin with.

The Hawk DTC70's I had I could use on the street. The DTC60's are always my recommendation for a cheaper good pad.

Nice thanks. Just googled it. Looks like there's one on Oct 3. $399.

DTC60s are streetable but it is considered a track pad.

Nice! Have fun, and be careful on Turn 2, and turn 4. I saw an s2000 go backwards down the hill on turn 4, it's actually on my gopro video on my youtube I believe. Enter that corner about 165-170, it's a tricky process. I'm guessing you've been on the track on a motorcycle though.

Ya, I used to turn 1:26's on my R6 around there when I was racing. I think the last track day I did there was in 2011. I was like 1:36's. Surprising how quickly you can lose it lol. I've crashed in turn 2 and hit the wall. I was behind someone that crashed in 4 and him and his bike went Into the woods. I've crashed in 5b as well. I actually had such a lead in that race I had time to pick my bike back up (SV Cup) and try to restart it before the guy in second came around.

So ya, I've got a bit of experience with that track

That is seriously impressive. Even more impressive is how is it that you're still alive after so many crashes?! Do you have a unicorn up your ass or something?
