This car won't need spacers as the rims have lower offsets.

To answer your question: With any spacer on our car you need a minimum of 6 full revolutions of the lugnuts to get proper engagement of the studs. Anything less and you are risking it. On our cars you can use up to 3mm spacers and get 6 full revolutions of stud engagement, any larger spacer and you need longer studs to keep it safe. I played with 5mm spacers in the past but I wasn't comfortable with the engagement of the lugs, with it being less than 6 full revolutions. Longer studs or spacers with integrated studs work best/safest.

Currently on 225/45 fronts and 245/40 rears. As the 225/45 is pretty tall, I may swap out to 215/45 fronts, or 235/40 fronts. 235 is shorter than the 215s, but both being shorter than the current 225/45 should give better clearance. As I've posted several times on this forum, I'm not rubbing at all (so far), but I plan to dial in negative camber all around when I go for an alignment in the spring. I understand many feel 215 would be too narrow for a 9" width wheel, but looking at general tire widths, a 215 would be 1/4" stretch on each side (total width for a 215 is approx. 8.5").

I'm sitting on Tein S-Tech springs, I do not plan to go any lower, so I think this is the best option to go without having to do any fender mods. With that in mind, I'm assuming the car doesn't have any fender mods as I don't recall seeing anything out of the ordinary when it was being inspected prior to purchase (although I wasn't looking at fender mods specifically as it hadn't crossed my mind). I'll check out the car on Monday - if there are fender mods done already, then that explains why I haven't experienced any rubbing...in that case, I'll just go wider with a 255 rears and keep the 225 fronts.

Aside from that, I've ordered:
- OEM replica lip from BaysonR
- Modifry camera mount, straps, and glove box organizer

Also picked up MTF, oil filter, and washers for the tranny/diff flush I plan to do.

Pretty excited for Spring to come around.
