You are probably more safer to do top speed runs on the 400hwy north of barrie....the roads are soo straight and most of the time during the week the roads are clear of cops and traffic
I hit 230km/h in my GTI VR6

You Guys are F****** Crazy!! The fastest I went was 180 km/h on Highway 7. between Woodbridge and Richmond Hill with the top down. I slowed down because I felt...I guess what you would call "a bad gust of wind?" Any of you guys get that feeling, going that fast with the top down? Maybe it was just me? Next Summer we should all go for a cruise under the Gardner??

XTC, i think you're just as crazy.
doing 180 on Hwy 7 is the equivelent of doing 250 on a true highway (400, 401, 404, 407 etc...).
plus, there are waaayyyyy too many variables on hwy 7 - that can lead to a bad ending.

I agree with TKG, thats one nasty stretch of road to be going for land speed records...Geesh, I've see more cops there than at Tim Hortons..
