New E-test: Not Ready = No pass

I personally run into this issue 2 years ago. Renewal is in May, which means that as soon the car is out, I need to make sure I go do it.
This year, due to a car accident, I'm unable to drive due to injuries to shoulder and I will most likely not make it on time to take the car to have emissions done.
Most likely will have to purchase a temporary sticker until I get the sensors ready for the test.
I have a obd scanner. I didn't know that it could be used to check readiness. Will definitely look into it.
Never knew about Bill man's method. I have a 2001 S2K. So hopefully it will help.
Very good information for all those owners that have their birthdays early in the spring.
Thank you.

I had to get a temp permit as well bc mine expired, and I already had to extend it by another 10 days bc my codes still aren't checking out. Drove another 100km today, and still nada. This is brutal, I've easily driven over 250 km and the two monitors still aren't ready.

So all my monitors are finally active and I thought I would be able to pass the OBD test, but apparently shops have to do a 2-step idle test at this stage, which means I still fail bc my CO readings were too high (1.11 vs the limit of 0.7).
Does this mean I need to swap my old cat back in for a retest? This is a real PITA bc every time I do this I also need to apply for a temporary permit bc mine expired over the winter. >

My etest is due in November. I guess I better get my etest done in August/September before I store it! I also have a test pipe, but have a Vibrant J style CEL fix, and didn't see a CEL all last year. I hope that they aren't strict on doing a visual when they smell my car and fail me for having no cat. :S
