New owner here
hey guys, new s2000 owner here. Just picked up a 2008, formula red. One original owner, car has 56k on it 100% stock.
i have been silently cruising the many many pages of use info on this site.
just wanted to introduce myself. Located in Stouffville. Thought this was a better place to find local owners.

welcome. Remember, you need to do a valve adjustment NOW, (IN .008, EX .012), then rear axle nut TSB (unstake, remove, light grease the face, torque to spec, then 45-60 degrees further) to save your rear wheel bearings. This year the coolant needs to be done (@10 yrs, then every 5 years thereafter) as well. Clutch interlock bypass. PCX-004 oil filter. rear Diff fluid. trans fluid. Brake fluid, Clutch fluid- oh hell, just zero all your fluids.
Then, you need to come with us to the Dragon next spring
see you there!

Valve clearance should be verified and the exhaust set to 0.012" as Darcy (and Billman) notes.
Disable the clutch safety switch at your peril. The car will lunge (and possibly start) in gear if you "forget."
Get the trash cans out of the way and get her in the garage. Theft and vandalism magnet to easy to get inside with a box cutter. They're still stealing these cars for the seats, drive train, and wheels.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I as hinting about taking it to a shop in Markham to have a once over, I was planning on the fluids, but the other stuff mentioned is all great advice.
Hoping the the shop I take it to would make the same suggestions, and do the work for a reasonable price.

It is true, the clutch bypass makes your car less idiot proof, just don't let anyone else drive your car- the car will still start with the clutch pressed in regardless.
